Why this server exists
The big 1PP vanilla servers are good. They are also full. If you play in European evening hours you already know the queue.
BZA Chernarus 1PP is the same game — untouched loot, untouched economy, untouched weapon balance, first person only — on a box in Warsaw with 60 slots and no queue. If you have played vanilla anywhere else, you already know how this server works — base building included.
The one mod we wrote is deliberately cosmetic. BZA PaintMod is written by us, for this server: you paint rifles part by part — receiver, stock, handguard, magazine — along with almost all of the clothing and armour you wear, and you earn the camo by playing. A few things are excluded on purpose: pistols, shotguns, low-tier civilian guns, optics, ghillie gear, fur headdresses and leather moccasins (the full list is here). It gives nobody an advantage in a fight, and it was built that way from the start — the guide is here.
Gates take a keypad code lock, and that one is ours too: five digits, typed once.
Four small utility mods load alongside all that — Community Framework, Autorun Upgraded, Ear Plugs and admin tooling. None of them touch loot, economy or balance; the full list is on the join page.
What “Vanilla+” means here
The word gets stretched, so here is exactly what it covers on this server.
| On this server | |
|---|---|
| Loot table | Vanilla. The additions are the paint kits and paint cans, which are cosmetic, and the code lock. Nothing vanilla was removed or made rarer. |
| Economy & spawn rates | Vanilla, with one change: despawn timers. Loose gear left on the ground clears after 3 hours, backpacks, bags and cases after 12. What spawns, where and how much is untouched, and so is base storage — tents, barrels, crates and chests keep their full vanilla persistence. |
| Damage, stamina, health | Vanilla. Players, weapons, armour and base building parts alike — untouched. |
| View | First person only. No third-person server. |
| Traders | None. |
| Starter gear / kits | None. You spawn like everyone else. |
| Base building | Vanilla parts, vanilla materials, vanilla build actions, vanilla health. The one addition is a code lock for gates. Details below. |
| Other mods | Our own code lock, plus four utilities: Community Framework (a library), Autorun Upgraded (numpad + to auto-run, stamina drains as normal), Ear Plugs, and admin tooling. No loot or weapon balance changes. |
| Bots | None. Every name on the player list is a person. |
| Anything for sale | Nothing yet — the shop is not open. Never anything that affects gameplay. See below. |

- Restart warnings start at 01:00, 07:00, 13:00 and 19:00 CEST; the server goes down about fifteen minutes after that and is back in roughly two. Town loot carries over across a restart; the central economy only tops up in a trickle. What does re-roll are the four paint caches, at 35% each.
- Nights are short but genuinely dark. Day runs at six times real speed and night gets a further ×4 on top — ×24 after dark — so a summer night is over in roughly 20 minutes of play and a full day–night cycle takes about three hours. The server runs DayZ's dark night setting, not the bright one: without a torch, a headtorch or a flare you will not see much.
- Ping. Warsaw covers Poland, Germany, Czechia, Slovakia, Ukraine, the Baltics and the Nordics comfortably; the UK, France and Italy are fine too.
- Wipes are announced in Discord in advance. A wipe clears characters, bases and PaintMod progression — including every colour you had earned or been granted, the founder colour included. Nothing you played for carries over.
Base building
Building itself is vanilla — same parts, same materials, same actions, same health. The one thing we added is a lock for your gate.
Code locks
A keypad lock for fence gates. Fit it to a finished gate and pick five digits. Tents keep the vanilla combination lock.
- You type the code once. Anyone who gets it right is remembered by that lock — after that the gate just opens for them, with no keypad and nothing to retype. It survives dying, too: the lock remembers the player, not the character.
- Sharing it is telling somebody the number. There is no list to add people to and no admin to ask. They walk up, type it, and they are in.
- The owner keeps a panel. Whoever set the code can see everyone holding a key, take a key back, change the code (which throws everyone out at once), hand the lock over to someone else, or take it off the gate.
- Where you get one: world loot, in industrial and farm areas, alongside the vanilla combination locks. Not craftable, not sold, not handed out by admins, and deliberately less common than the vanilla lock — it is a find.
- It can still be raided. The lock buys you privacy from whoever wanders past, not immunity. Walls and gates keep their vanilla health, and that is still the honest way in — break the gate and the lock falls off with it.
BZA Code Lock is our own mod and loads automatically when you join.
Rules
In Discord
- Respect everyone. No insults, toxicity or drama.
- No spam, advertising or NSFW content.
- Questions go to
#questions, bugs go to#bug-reports.
On the game server
- Cheats, dupes and bug exploits = permanent ban.
- Stream sniping and ghosting are forbidden.
- Combat logging — disconnecting during a fight — is punishable.
- Abuse in the in-game chat = mute or ban.
What admins do not do: restore lost loot, and interfere
in PvP. Both of those are the game. Admin decisions are final; appeals go
to #questions in Discord.
Money
Nothing is on sale right now. There is no shop yet, no donor perk, no priority queue and no paid colour, and we are not taking donations either. Every paint kit, can, pattern and camo scheme a player can obtain is found in loot, on the same terms for everyone — the full list is here. The one exception is the founder colour, and that is earned by five players rather than bought by anyone.
Bohemia Interactive has approved our monetisation programme, so a shop is coming, and the whole of it is written down before the first item is sold: what will be sold, what will never be, and why camouflage is on the second list. That is the monetisation tab, and it is the page to hold us to.
Our mods
BZA PaintMod is public on the Steam Workshop, so anyone can subscribe and load it. The half that validates and applies paint is private and runs only here — which is why painting works on this server and nowhere else.
BZA Code Lock is public too, and free for any server to run — monetised or not, no permission needed.
BZA Glider is public as well, and free for any server that does not take money from its players; servers that sell anything may not run it. It is young and it has bugs, which the glider page says plainly along with everything it changes in vanilla.

Getting in touch
Discord is the only channel that matters — announcements, wipe dates, bug reports, promo codes, the founder-race standings and the fastest way to reach an admin all live there. English is the server language; Ukrainian is spoken in Discord too.
